Who We Are banner

Goal

  • Increase opportunities for physical activity through education, access and environmental support for a “movement” culture on campus.

Objectives

  • Improve knowledge and benefits of physical activity through educational opportunities, academic coursework, and promotion of physical activity resources on and off campus.
  • Improve access to traditional and non-traditional physical activity resources.
  • Provide environmental support towards creating a movement culture through enhancements in the physical “built” environment, office and classrooms, and peer support mechanisms.

  • Expand MobileFit Program with new classes – StairWell and Walking classes
  • Offer 10-15 minute stretch break service for departments and classrooms
  • Develop exercise videos/tutorials and stress relief/stretching videos
  • Create and distribute a fitness toolbox for departments/student organizations
  • Create a marked walking trail on campus
