UC Living Well

The UC Living Well initiative was established in 2007 by the UC Office of the President (UCOP) to encourage all faculty, staff, and retirees to live healthier lifestyles and create a culture of health throughout the system.

The main strategic goals of UC Living Well are:

  1. Improve the health and quality of life of UC faculty, staff, and retirees.
  2. Build a culture of health and wellness at UC that supports healthy lifestyles.

Julie Chobdee

Julie Chobdee, Wellness Program Coordinator

Julie Chobdee came to UCR in 2008 and has over 20 years of experience in the Wellness/Health Promotion industry. For 11 years, she served as the Wellness Program Manager for Johnson & Johnson Global Health Services, where she developed and managed wellness programs, lead several health education projects, and worked on various operational teams. She began her career working at the LA Times Health Promotion Program, American Heart Association, and the LA County Wellness Council Worksite Wellness Project. Julie has a Bachelor's in Sciences from UCLA and a Master's in Public Health from UCLA.  In addition, she taught a "Worksite Health Promotion" course at Cal State Fullerton, has a Professional Designation in Human Resources Management from UCLA, and is a certified Fitness Instructor through ACE (American Council on Exercise). Julie LOVES to exercise, watch Reality TV, go to the beach, and eat fruit salad and frozen yogurt.

 Wellness Program Specialist - Nicole Collins, MPH, RD

Nicole Collins is a registered dietitian, she obtained her degree in Public Health from Loma Linda University where she also got her first job experience in Wellness with the Living Whole Employee Wellness program. She previously worked for 6 years with the City of Fontana Healthy Fontana program where she created health programs for the local community and staff at the city. She later moved on to the City of Pasadena where she coordinated the Choose Health LA Kids program, designing and implementing obesity prevention programs for parents and their children. Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband and new baby girl. 

Campus Wellness Oversight Committee (CWOC)

The mission of CWOC is to provide integrated wellness programs and resources for Faculty and Staff, which promote quality of life and foster a culture of health and wellness. CWOC currently oversees the development, coordination, and marketing of these wellness programs and resources.
