Wellness Workshop Series

Workshop series include several sessions designed to provide you with a more detailed approach to Wellness.

Educational sessions

The UCR Wellness Program offers a variety of educational seminars  along with access to past program presentations and handouts.

Learn more about your health with easy to read PowerPoint presentations. Each presentation comes with an Activity and Goal Setting Worksheet to help you get started on the path towards a healthier lifestyle.

Healthy Eating Programs

Eat well with UCR's healthy eating initiatives and vending machines.

Health Assessment

A health assessment is the first step toward planning positive lifestyle changes. Health assessments along with incentives are available to those enrolled in a UC sponsored medical plan through StayWell or members of Kaiser Permanente under Kaiser’s HealthWorks wellness program.

Health Screenings

Health Screening and consultations are available at the Student Recreation Center for $10. This includes a complete fitness assessment and body measurements. It's all part of designing an optimal exercise program to help you reach your fitness goals. Screenings are also available by appointment through the Wellness Program.

Wellness Consultations

Mobile Fit Program

Bringing Fitness to You! The Mobile Fit program is intended for all faculty and staff who are interested in participating in a locally provided, on-site fitness program to improve overall health and wellness.

Targeted Fitness Challenge

The UCR Targeted Fitness Challenge is a voluntary program for UCR employees conducted at the Student Recreation Center. The three-month program consists of cardiovascular, strengthening, stretching and core stabilization exercises. The goal of this challenge is to improve an individual’s fitness (strength, endurance flexibility, etc.), which will increase the ability to safely perform the physical demands of their job duties and thereby reduce their risk of injury.

Post Rehabilitation Program

The Post-Rehabilitation Program is a voluntary three-month work conditioning exercise program conducted at the Student Recreation Center. This program consists of a combination of cardiovascular, strengthening, stretching and/or core stabilization exercises designed to provide strengthening and functional endurance training for employees who have been medically released to work, but have not yet reached "full" recovery from their injury.

Meditation and Relaxation Class

Weekly classes on Meditation and Relaxation are offered Wednesdays from 12:15 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Student Recreation Center. The classes are open to all students, staff and faculty.
