Programs

Lactation

In an effort to promote a family-friendly work environment for breastfeeding mothers, UC Riverside has expanded lactation room locations. Effective immediately, faculty, staff and students will have access to six (6) lactation rooms and alternate options to ensure nursing mothers have access to a private space for lactation purposes.

Ergonomics

Through consultations and and training, the ergonomics program works with departments to provide ergonomic workstations and promote safe and healthy work habits.

Work/Life Programs

The  Work/Life program is committed to developing dynamic, problem-solving strategies, which assist staff and faculty to successfully balance their personal and professional challenges in areas such as Financial, Personal, and Professional balance.

Alternative Transportation Programs

A variety of alternative transportation programs and services are available to UCR faculty, staff, and students, including programs for those who walk or bike to work, those who use public transportation, and those interested in joining a vanpool.

Disability Management and Reasonable Accommodation

The program provides educational and early intervention services to prevent or minimize the effects of disability in the work place.

Professional Development

UCR staff are encouraged to pursue professional development and life-long learning opportunities. Adults can anticipate changing careers at least five times during their working lives. In order to provide assistance in meeting this challenge, there are numerous campus and systemwide services available.
