Mission:Possible, a 12-week Team Wellness Challenge

Kick-Off: January 30, 12-1pm, HUB 265

If creating new healthy habits seems impossible, Mission:Possible is here to help.  Become a “secret agent” during this 12-week team wellness challenge.

Your mission, should you chose to accept it, is to form a team of 4 to complete “confidential” missions.  Each week you will receive a video transmission from your commander team assigning you your weekly mission.  Earn points for completing each mission and win team prizes.  Join us for the Kick-Off to learn more.  Click here for flyer.

Current standings will be posted here each week through the Mission:Possible challenge.

How do our UCR employees like to relax?
  • Play a favorite CD/tape all the way through – especially an old favorite!
  • Light candles
  • Sit outside in a lawn chair and just listen to the wind in the trees, feel the sun on my face
  • Journal
  • Play with paints – just putting color down, with no sense of needing it to look a certain way on the canvas or paper
  • Pet my dog
  • Putter around in the garden
  • Take a walk in the UCR Botanic Gardens
  • Dinner by candlelight
  • Picking flowers and arranging them in a vase to put on the dining room table or by my bed
  • Stretching or yoga
  • Snuggling up with my husband and/or kids
  • A cup of hot tea, a warm blanket, and a good book
  • Arrange a colorful, healthy lunch on a lovely plate, put my drink in a fancy glass (even just water), and eat outside in a little “café” area I created.
  • Put on a little backpack and hike the hills around UCR
  • Visit an art museum, take time to look at paintings close up and far away as well as read the descriptions  (Norton Simon Museum and the Huntington Library are two of my favorites for the art/garden experiences)
